Dear Mr. Joyner. I can say that I have enjoyed your show for many years. This morning I was inspired to write because I was so angered by Mr. Travis Smiley statements about Al Gore. He could have said more conversations and participation from the Democratic party, that would have been acceptable. He didn't. He showed his mean spirit which comes through all the time. I dislike listening to him so mucch that I have to change stations when he's on. I was speaking to a co-worker and without stating my opinion, she said "oh, I can't listen when he comes on". I think he needs some therapy and anger management. He is so unacceptable. I am the most easy going and tolerant person you'd ever want to meet. He's like that everytime he comes on. You can't moderate his behavior, he's too wild. Please terminate your relationship with him. He is anything but objective.

I just want to thank Bernie, for taking the time to address an issue, that too few are aware of. the issue of the limited number of African American doctors. Many woulf think that in a profession , such as this, that there are no mountains of racism to climb, no longer any issues to overcome, such is not the case. Unless something is done soon, unless preventive care is applied, Black America, may soon find themselves with no to few Black male physicians and a decreasing number of black female physicians.
Bernie, has helped to high light the stress and often unfair treatment of those, who have chosen to serve humanity, by providing health care. Read the studies, listen to the reports, without Black input in the health sector, people of color suffer form a lack and/or dimished concern for their needs. We are 34 million strong, but have only 2-3% black doctors in America to assist in making sure we receive the care due to all. But if you read and listen, you know that sadly, we are just not getting what is due us.
having fewer and fewer African American doctors, can not help, want appears to be a dismal future. It take a long time to make a doctor and often times only minutes to destroy one. Ask Bernie, he'll tell you, because now he knows, what toofew know, like many people of color, no matter what the profession, often we are under attack. Yet the implication for the health and well being of our mothers, fathers, brother, sister and children are at stake.
Ask Bernie, because he knows. We must quickly see the promblem, make a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan.
If not, it could soon be too late, it could take years to breath life back into the body of healthcare providers and a healthcare system, devoid of people of African Americans.

HER SHOW IS THE BOMB!! THEY USE MOVIE CLIPS AND MUSIC TO INTRODUCE WHATEVER SHE IS TALKING ABOUT! SHE ALSO BELIEVES IN HER LISTENING AUDIENCE.
Some guy had called in about losing the love of his son, I think the mother died, and then he found out that it wasn't his son! So a few weeks later, she dedicated a show to him and encouraged him not to give up! She had guest and everything just for this guy! It was very moving.
There also was a show about domestic violence and her guest from the House of Ruth didn't show up. This lady called in and told her story and asked her to please try to have that same guest back. It was the first show of the new year and that same lady called back thanking her crying on the air because she kept her promise! I think they are running a commerical spot on how to give your comments on what you want to talk about and if she uses it, you win a bomb ass t-shit or something!

Recently, I caught a show on WOL called "Matters of the Heart" with Michele Leslie.
What I liked about the show is the way she brings in the beginning segments.I think she does the production. Anyway, it has a FM sound on AM. And some guy with a great voice introduces her (he sounds like Barry White) Has anyone else heard the show?

***Was It All About The Money.. Honey.?*** ..Wol 1450 AM weekend DJ The Moon Man has been in the entertainment business for a long, long time. The Moon Man is in the same category as More Better Man (they are both survivors). So, when I heard that Moon Man had moved his dance club party from the Chateau Night Club over on Benning Road North East Washington to the Eclipse Night Club over on Bladensburgh Road I couldn’t help but wonder why. Both the Chateau and the Eclipse are nice clubs so what would make the Moon Man switch partners right in the middle of the dance? Can any somebody tell me why Moon Man moved his weekly show from the Chateau to the Eclipse?radiodiary@aol.com
